Bay woke up Sunday in an 0-for-16 slump, and Pelfrey was, by his own assessment, "terrible" in the first two innings of the Mets' 11-4 win over Baltimore. But neither would have made it to the highest level of his profession without an ability to adjust, and both made necessary alterations Sunday.
